So far so good. My shuttle bus from Tainan to Kaoshung airport went off without a hitch. And the Hong Kong airport is effectively (if not painfully) reminding me of Western prices. I have exchanged $20 US so far,and with that I have bought:

* 1 cheese sandwich

* 1 small salad(it did have yummy onions in it,so I was happy here)

* 1 small ice coffee

* 1 People Weekly magazine (gotta catch up on trash Hollywood talk before I get home.)

* 1 caramel Galaxy bar (sentimental reasons, wasnt really in the mood for chocy, but miss the UK)

It already feels weird (in the best of all ways) to be in a place where there is ethnic diversity. I didnt realize just HOW homogenous Taiwan is! In this airport alone I have seen so many more whitey foreigners,loads of Indians, Africans and so much more. Ahhhh,that feels comfortable. No wonder I was stared at so much in Tainan!

Even at the KHH airport I had a bunch of girls standing just outside the bathroom waiting for their friend and giggling. They started to come in and wait for her there, but did that stop dead in their tracks and look like a deer caught in headlights thing that has become common for me to see (and induce) in vast quantities of Taiwanese.
