Need to do some griping! one of the more common English phrases that a lot of Taiwanese here know is "take it easy." I have to grin and bite my tongue EVERY time I hear this.

To me this phrase implies "you are overreacting, you stupid fuck." I honestly think that they have no idea that it is a condescending phrase, and quite possibly think it means something like "it will be ok." but it doesnt. have i told anyone this? well, no. cause most people that say this to me know maybe one or two other words in english, and we all know how non-existent my chinese is.

ugh! will someone please help stop this trend.
