Monday, Jul. 26, 2004 - 1:54 p.m. Merchandise..... Taiwan Costs..... Photos..... Q&A Sight is such a beautiful thing! I am still having fuzzy moments, but that is to be expected. I did pay someone to tear open my eye and reshape it, after all. ouch. I freaked myself out last night when I was adding my nightly eye drops. I looked into the mirror to see if I could detect where the "flap" (outer part of eye that was sliced and folded over) was cut. I found it easily on my right eye, a 1/2 inch dark red spot. Made me dizzy to look at. Realization of what I put my eyes through and all that. I could not find the same spot on the left eye, but did not look too hard to be honest. When I went to see the dr yest.for my follow up check up he said I was already at 20/20 vision. They use a diff numbering system for eye levels here, so I made him translate, poor guy! He also said that my eyes will get even better over the next 3 weeks, while my flap heals and my eyes adjust. Wow! I can already tell the difference, it is truly amazing. This may make up for every single thing about Taiwan that bugs the hell out of me. Not wanting to come back, but def feel betta about being here. But enough about my eyes, onto my Taiwan notes... Only have 4 minutes right now, so more Taiwan will info will have to wait until tomorrow. I am doing Day 1 of walking to work. With the heat and rain this is quite a crazy idea, but I am sick and tired of being trapped inside AC places. So I have my backpack with a change of clothes, deodorant, and loads of water with me. I plan to stop and rest a lot on the way. Right now I have only walked about 1/2 hour, but I already feel better. I figure if I do this (6 km each way) 2 times a day for a month I will feel good again by the time I leave. Heres to hoping! |
