My head is about to explode with this cold that wont mature OR go away. ouch! It doesnt help that one of the folks at our table last night at the Fahrenheit 911 screening kept feeding me (not wantedly, mind you) lovely hand rolled ciggies. Not a smart option on my part, but they were sooooooo nice!

As for Fah 911, I think it stands on its own without my complimentary words. Plus, I promised my friend Craig from back home that I would email him first with my opinion, and I have not done so yet. Oops.

Talking with the guy who was teaching in Thailand unfor confirmed some things about Asia that I didnt want confirmed. But then, why do I ask probing questions if I dont wanna know? Good point!

Things like reading not being a part of their hobby base, very different maturity level for adult men, lack of intimate friendships (with foreigners at least), etc, etc. A lot of the things that dont sit right with me here are there as well. But there are good things also. Just not sure anymore about the idea of a few years in Asia. Whenever I talk to someone who has been here a few years they always say things like "Just concentrate on the holidays (or pay)" or "It has a good expat comunity" (I didnt travel to meet people from my own country!) and "I like all the things I can buy here."

I really dont wanna live my life hating my daily existence and counting down to holidays. Yes, it is nice to be able to travel around Asia freely and cheaply, but at this point in my life I want my daily life to be inspiring and interesting. Is that really too much to ask? The mindset of a lot of expats here really does not fit me too well.
