Monday, Jun. 28, 2004 - 12:04 p.m. Merchandise..... Taiwan Costs..... Photos..... Q&A Some news from South Korea: From Emily's blog. She is an American woman teaching English in South Korea right now. http://emilysaltieblog.blogspot.com/ Sunday, June 27, 2004 Censorship by the Korean government is the news this week. "We in Korea are no longer allowed to view any blogs suspected of running the Kim Il Seong beheading video. And that includes mine, though I've made no mention of it here. So we're unable to view anything on Blogspot or elsewhere, till the Ministry of Information & Communications decides to release its grip." I also got an email from another foreigner in South Korea. On his sight you can read a letter he wrote to the South Korean government about this matter and his links to more sites that cover different details.

On a personal note. I have now received 6 replies from posting my teaching CV on Dave's ESL cafe. 3 are from South Korea, 2 from China, and 1 from Indonesia. I remember last time I started applying to ESL jobs overseas. I was silly enough to put my phone number on my CV then. I thought no one would call international with no prior contact. Man was I wrong. I got a few calls from S.Korean recruiters at very strange times of the night. I removed my phone number immeditately and will never do that again. When I first made my new CV website this weekend I had a website link to the school I am at now. But then I started getting visions of recruiters calling me at work. Oi!
